You might not get 60fps if you max it out, but it'll run just fine on high

This.

I wouldn't really worry about VRAM issues though, 3GB is more than enough for 1440p BF3 and thus, more than enough for BF4.
The textures haven't really changed, and even the ones that have, it will add very little in terms of VRAM requirements.

It should be. If your 7950 is good enough for BF3 it's good enough for BF4. They do the whole rinse and repeat with the graphics like CoD.
OP are you buying a new GPU. if so whats your budget. AMD is releasing AMD Never Settle Forever this month which might include BF4. as for how much performance you need for BF4 wait for Oct for some benchmark. the HD 9900 series is going to be bundled with BF4. so think and decide.

7950 on hand, just thinking ahead for BF4. I'll be waiting for benchmarks and 9900 series to come out before upgrading.

Thanks OCN.

Thanks OCN.
Like I said, I really wouldn't be worried about the 7950 not being able to handle BF4

I run BF3 AA off, maxed out at 60fps. 1150Mhz on the core, which you are almost guaranteed to achieve.

Pretty confident that will be sufficient for BF4 as well.

You cant be on 1440p then, because I run BF3 with everything maxed but AA [@2x] and 1200MHz core/ 1775MHz memory, and it dips from the frame cap @ 60 quite often. Sometimes down to 40.
