Oh not SIS.

INTEL is still making ATI-based motherboards but this will end by the time 2007 arrives.
Newegg still has D102GGC2 board in stock listed for just less than $70 a piece. It calls it Intel D102GGC2 Socket T (LGA 775) ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard â€" OEM. The last time we mentioned the board, was here.

It is based on RC410 Northbridge and SB450 Southbridge and is the last ATI board for Intel, probably forever

What's so bad about SIS? They were another good company that got crushed when ATI and Nvidia started brawling.

UniChrome, bad (even for desktop use, lawls)

All chipsets, overheating + bad OCing.

Anything SIS is rather good in terms of hardware. Software and overall implementation is another thing.
well SiS went down the tubes because of this

"hey guys, i got this sweet SiS motherboard! Its so cool"

"omg nub, the nForce 2 is WAYY better, why do you brag about stuff that sucks"

"yeah, go away with your dumb SiS board"

that kinda stuff... nVidia + ATI come out with better stuff, SiS stuff becomes the bottom, budget crap.. they have less imcome, their stuff sucks more.

i mean, has SiS even made any AM2 boards?
i have a Socket A SiS board... thats it though

Maybe this is the start of a comeback...since ATI chipset will no longer be available for Intel.
SIS Get rather warm from what I hear ?

I'm not sure. They haven't made a "real" GPU or chipset in a long time, it will be interesting to see if they have something new up their sleeves. Certainly Intel wouldn't let them replace a giant like ATI/AMD if they didn't think SIS knew what it was doing.

Thats a good point.

I'd much rather have VIA jump in and go with this instead of SiS. SiS hasn't made much at all since socket 370 and A. I only have they dont mess up royally
