SLI Advice for my rig

I'm looking for some SLI advice for my rig. My Valley benchmark score is 679 and that's not as high as I'd like it.

My current build:

Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Intel i7 2600K
8GB DDR3
Asus Sabertooth z77
2560GB Nvidia GTX 570 (EVGA)
OCZ-Vertex 4 SSD
OCZ ZX Series 850W Fully-Modular 80PLUS Gold

I'm looking online at some, but can't really decide on one. I was hoping someone could sway my choice one way or another. I'm trying to keep it to under $200. Thanks!

another 570 would greatly increase your performance. Obviously you would want to find another 2.5 gig card! I wouldn't pay more than 140$ for one personally! I would either wait and find another 570 for a good price or sell your current card and try and pick up a used 670/680! I've seen them go for 340$ or so on here!

1920x1080. I'm not looking for an upgrade AND a second one. Just a second one. I'd still keep my 570. I realize I can lower the resolution to improve performance, but it annoys me knowing I can go higher.

I was thinking about another 570. Would it be bad to get one that's not 2.5GB? Would 2 570s be better performance or one 670?

He just said hes only interested in nvidia products! Just drop it!

@op And yes 2 570s is faster than one 670 but this late in the game i would say get a single 760 and sli later down the road or get a sing used 680!

I was really happy with my 570gtx when I had it. I am sure two of them will fit well in your set up. The only reason I ended up moving up to 660gtx SLI instead of adding another 570 was efficiency. Be sure to get one with the same memory size cuz the cards actually mirror memory.

I never knew that, thanks! After taking all your suggestions, I looked for another one of mine and they're going for close to $300 on eBay. Ouch! So I was thinking of maybe just selling it and buying a 770 as some of you mentioned. I figure I can sell mine for about $300 then buy something like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130919 or even the superclocked edition http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130946 for another $15 with Splinter Cell Blacklist. Putting another $100-$150 seems like a reasonable price for what seems like a good upgrade. What do you guys think?

Thanks again for all the replies! I've never gotten so much feedback about simple hardware questions from any other site.

There might be some listed for $300 but I doubt they'd sell for that still...for just a little bit more money you can get a brand new 770

So yeah I doubt you'd be able to sell yours for that money as well mate.

You could either wait for someone selling your card at a decent price, but that could take a while. You could auction your 570 and hope you get $150-200 for it if you're really lucky, and put that money + some extra on a new 770. I'd go for the last option. I sold my 2 560 ti's in SLI while the prices were still half a year ago and I got $250 for the combo and I thought that was pretty good considering the age of the cards. Got myself a 680 (yeah I kinda regret that) for that money + $150. This this way you don't have to pay full price again for new hardware if you upgrade like this every year or every other year.

I see many 570s on eBay. You should be able to pick one up for 150 or less. Might take you a week to buy one, but that is the route I would go.
I have the 2.5GB which is selling for a lot more. Like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/EVGA-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-570-025-P3-1579-AR-2-5-GB-GDDR5-PCI-Express-x16-/111139984546?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item19e07594a2. There was another earlier that went for $280. The one's going for $150 or so have 1.25GBs.

Right, missed that. Those cards are gonna be harder to find and as you said more expensive. Maybe a newer generation, single gpu is the better way to go.

That's what I was thinking as well. I could SLI the new one sometime in the future but have a good boost right now for a lot cheaper.
