I was wondering if the X58 Classified can run 2 cards in SLI in the first and third PCI-E slots? Assuming you had the correct SLI bridge of course. See pic below.
you can run sli in any of the 16x or 8x, once you get to 4x you might start to see a bottleneck, I don;t think even many if any cards can get bottlenecked in a 8x slot, maybe a gtx 295 or a 5970 but I'd need to see proof

lol noooo they are all 16x when used in a pair on the E760, so you can use the first and fourth for SLI or what ever, OP yes thats the standard SLI setup anyway.

its funky, it goes like.. GPU1 and GPUx = 16x16, X being one of the 3rd PCIe slots. but when you mix it up with say 3 GPUs its now 16x8x8. or even physx will drop it down to 16x8x8

I use corsair HX1000w 1000watt psu. That's with 2 9800gtx+, 1 ssd, 2 2tb hdd, two radiators(rx360 and rx120), pump, two waterblocks, and 5 delta fans without any trouble. Let's see what other people might suggest

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817256054 although it only has 4 8pin and 4 6pin. Additionally, you can use the 6pin to molex adapter that comes with the gpus and power it using molex connectors from the psu
