about to get a new mobo
either a asus p5w32 (non sli) or a asus p5n32-sli
before i commit i want to know if i can mix and match 7800 gt's
I got a BFG 7800 GT OC but if i were to buy another i would buy the xfx or evga

so if I have to buy another BFG to run sli, I probably wouldnt but if I can run two different brands, then I will

Yep, exactly.

If you buy one card is stock overclocked, like your BFG, and a card that runs at the stock speeds, the BFG will run lower than what it was shipped as. But you'll still be able to overclock them both, but only as high as the lower overclocking card will allow you to go
