I was wondering if I bought a amd mobile 2500+ for my buddies MOBO which runs max at 266mhz 2000+, if i could slow it down to 2000+ until he bought that awsome Shuttle board for 50 bucks. Help

P.S. do i have to turn on that dual ....uh whats it called...where the ram works simultaneously on dif. proc. ? .... this refers to my friends rig where he has to sticks of 512 corsair xms ram.
