Slowness

I cable managed my friends computer, and I switched up the sata cables, so we had to change the priorities on his hardrives. But his computer has been acting slow. The startup takes like 10mins and we haven't tried anything past that. He has 2 different sata cables, and we have tried both, but nothing happened. (Same slots.)

Please help.

What drive is he using? Cache size? and check the drive isn't set to SATA-150 (Although that wouldn't make much difference) 10 Mins is a long boot time indeed.. I am thinking it may have a corrupted; try a defrag then if that does not solve it, Re-format

everything seems normal but, it is so slow that is would be really hard to defrag it. it is stuck at right click on the C drive right now.
