Can anyone tell me the chips used in SMART modular RAM sticks? The only 1Gb DDR2 stick i can get locally are SMART, but have huge heat spreaders on them and I cant see the chips.
They are only 533, but are well priced.

Not sure if this helps. Looks like they are Samsung chips?
Who? Smart-Modular! Yeah, you may not know who they are and that's because they do the OEM deal for the most part. When you get DDR in bundles it is almost always Samsung or Smart-Modular. They use the same Samsung chips, and as you'll see they are very much alike. These will run you about $60, so it is definitely more than the Crucial or Corsair RAM.

EDIT: Do you have any more info on the RAM? Link to seller's page, model#, exact name?
