I'm going to wait for the 470 and 480's to hit but was wondering what would be the smarter upgrade to play the games below ( a 5850, 470 or another 260 and sli them ) ?

I have never SLI'ed anything and don't know the performance boost I would receive playing COD 2, 4, WaW, MW2, BC2 and probably Medal of Honor when it comes out.

and yes before anyone sees it, I will be upgrading the PSU to a HX 750 or 850 when I decide.

What's your screen resolution that you're playing at? You will will score really well with 3dmark benches and can see some differences but for the games you're playing, I doubt you will see much difference (COD 2, 4, WaW, MW2,). BC2, however I'm not too sure since it does seem to use a lot of resource.

or it migh be almost the same for example to sell 260 and get 5850...

edit:

for cod for example i found that cpu is more significant for gaming
i didn't get much going from 8800gts to 5850 (and yes my 5850 is bottlenecked by this cpu i have, but still)

anyway if you have the money i would recommend having only one card rather than two

edit duo:

so at this moment i would recommend 5850 because 470 performance/price is unknown yet.
