... And my sound wont work. Tried onboard soundcard, PCI card and USB self installing headphones none work. Is there a known way to fix this or is it just one of those things from changing motherboards without reformatting/reinstalling my OS? (I tried removing the old sound drivers) Anyone got any ideas?

Actually the motherboard is in my brothers computer it is a Via PM8M-v pretty much the last 478 motherboard made xD Cheaper then upgrading to a PCI-E card/ddr2 etc

I can only think that you forget turning on the sound or enabling the device, because if USB headphones/speakers doesn't work, it can only be that.

I eventually wiped out all of the sound controllers, rebooted and just got the ones I needed. And yeah lol sound is turned up, I have according to windows working audio drivers for my hardware but if I go into the sound control thing there are no devices and everything is greyed out o_o
