Please tell me I'm going to be happy. the parts are:

*CPUCOOL|ARCTIC FREEZER 7 PRO REV.2 - Retail

*INTEL|CORE I5 750 2.66G R - Retail

*MEM 2Gx2|GSKILL F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM - Retail

*MB GIGABYTE GA-P55-UD4P P55 RT - Retail

*SSD 80G|INTEL SSDSA2M080G2XXX OEM - OEM

I got all that that for 650 DOLLARS!!!

The other components for the rig will be scrapped from the current one (i.e 260gtx, case, psu, soundcard)

I plan on OC'ing the i5 to 4.0ghz with the arctic freezer. I think the ram and mobo I have are pretty good too.

What do you guys think?

You could use a better case and CPU cooler, but other than that, you've got a really nice and balanced assortment of parts there.
That will blow your old rig out of the water, you will be happy.
You splurged your BF? Lucky guy...
Thanks guys. I'm pretty happy because of the price. I used to game a lot, bit I've shifted to a more balanced need. This would include some media stuff and daily use. I guess that's where the benefit of the SSD will come in. After reading a ton of reviews for that cooler, I've seen it as a slight "light-weight", but it should be able to pull 4.0ghz in my ambient surroundings.
You desperately need a storage drive D:

You should've raid 0'd a few 640gb caviar blacks...newegg has them for $50.
I have a 160gb external that's been doing the job for movies + music.
it looks like a solid build to me. congrats on the purchase and good luck with the upgrade!

Looks good, one thing i would say is that you may actrully want to use your CNPS 9500 as your air cooler because it may cool a slighty bit better than the freezer pro, other than that looks good, very jealos of the SSD
