So i ordered a vapor X Ed. of the 5870 from Ncixus.com but after calling the next day the rep told me they were out of stock and i would have to wait for mine when they had it available.

Now here is the problem..newegg as of late has an abundance of the 5870s (not the Vapor X Ed. but xfx ones and other brands)

Would it be stupid of me to cancel my order from Ncixus wait the 2-4 days for the funds to become available and possibly lose out on getting a card from the egg.

Or should i stick with my order and wait for the Vapor x from ncixus? I cant really call them and ask when their next shipment will be in as its almost 4 am and Its saturday I'm just stuck and dont wanna cancel my order lose the vapor card and lose the xfx card due to limitations in stock!!

what should i do ohh mighty and powerful OCN board!

If I were you, I would wait. If thats what you want, don't settle for less. If you get the VaporX, let us know what you think of it. I'm pretty curious about it myself.
Wait for the Vapor.
But, there may be alot of others waiting as well.... I know Ncix only updates their warehouse every hour, and in that hour im sure alot of orders were placed (hint: i am in the same boat)
Wait for the Vapor-X. You have a 4870 now so it's not like you really have to have the 5870 ASAP...lol
Wait for it

I got a Vapor X tuesday and loved it...although all I did was look at it for a few minutes before I shipped it to the winning bidder on ebay for $630

I wouldn't wait. It's reference pcb. Might as well get something else that's reference you can have now.
If you call NCIX and finally get a live person, sometimes it takes a few times or you can leave a voice mssg, they can tell you where you are on the list. Once you know whether your 1 or 10th on the list you can make your decision.
I would say wait... until January, since ATI stopped producing series 5 video card some days ago. Nvidia too, stopped producing GT200 cards because 40% of them have a chip problem, they will diagnose it and find out where it comes from before going onto the market again.

To sum it up, shops are living with stock they bought from the manufacturer some months ago. They will run out of stock soon, so inflation

Can you please provide a source for the fact that the 5XXX series production has been halted? Also, I dont think you used the term inflation correctly

ATI and nvidia did not stop making GPUs. Stopping posting bogus info unless you can find a source that says so.
Yeah, but you understand what i'm trying to say.
I do not have any source at the moment.
By the way,... 3 30'' monitors? That must be f* huge. Only one 22'' here.
