basically near any game i play besides an MMORPG, i start playing, and my onboard sound either operates fine, or it just randomly cuts all sound off mid game, and if i exit and open a music player, it shows a progress bar and plays no sound.

if i get a replacement it needs to be:

PCI-E 1x (only slot i have left on mobo)

needs to support dolby 5.1 (7.1 is fine too)

around $150 budget

it must have analog audio outputs(RCA doesnt work, i looked at an X-fi titanium and it has RCA outs on it)

I have the X-fi Fatal1ty Titanium and it has analog connections.. Standard 1/8" connections and it supports dolby 5.1. Unless I'm completely way off base and not understanding what analog really is?

EDIT: Here's a shot of the back of the card. If you used your onboard audio then the connections will be the same unless you've changed the type of speakers you use.

I like my HT Omega Striker. Don't know what the prices would be for you in Canada, I got mine less than $100 off of newegg. Drivers weren't an issue at all.
