and i'd like to set it so that it never goes below about 60-70% fan speed. my case is a monster with good airflow but it doesn't have a side fan (yet!) so it gets hot in the middle with the cpu on one side and the psu on the other.

so, how do i do this? they've changed a lot since v2 came out so most of the guides on the web aren't useful anymore.

thanks.

are there better versions out there? i'd use evga precision but it only lets you set a specific level, not a minimum fan speed.

edit: i should point out that i'd prefer to put in a temp i want it to run at as opposed to a speed, but there doesn't seem to be anything on the web that'll do that.
I'm new to Rivatuner as well, but I managed to set my fan to 100%.

Click on the little arrow on the right hand side of the Driver settings line, then select the first icon (looks like a GPU card). Go to the second tab, change to manual, then set to whatever 100% you want and apply.

You might want to check the box which laods the settings at windows startup as well...

100% is overkill and makes it sound like a jet engine. that's the problem - i don't want to set it at some absolute maximum or something, i want to set it at something that'll scale between 60-70% and max.

You should read up on Rivatuner, there is so much you can do with it

oh, cool. i've never seen that.

how do i get the 'description' thing on there? there's just blank space on mine.
In ver.2.24 click on the Power User tab. Go down to "+Riva Tuner\\Fan". Then set MinFanSpeedLimit to whatever % you want it to be. After that your fans will never drop below whatever % you set it there!!!!! Have fun!!!!!
too bad that actually doesn't seem to work. i tried it a few times already, no change in heat. this seems to be doing the trick, now i just need to figure out how to get that description thing in here.

To do that just create and save several fan profiles, then add them to the launcher and the scheduler like this, it will take some time getting the temps right for each profile though. It's easier if you just create profiles that launch when you run certain programs then create shortcuts to them.
