i saw a 256MB ddr 2 9800PRO that CAN be flashed to XT. IT also comes with half life 2. should I buy it. its so tempting!

:***: You already have a 6600GT, why would you want a lesser card?? Unless it is for a second computer, save the cash for a 6800GT. And Flashing is not guarunteed.....

yeah, theres no point because the 6600gt is faster, and better then the 9800. and it also depended on the price. your next upgrade is the 6800gt

I concur...I really wish I had started coming here a month earlier than I did. I would likely be sporting more than my 9800 Pro since I had the $$$ to spend. Ok, I will admit it, I was TAKEN! Being completely ignorant I went to Newegg looking for an ATI 9800 Pro based on info that I never even considered to be old (about 4 months old at the time). Right around Dec 1 I went and got a Sapphire w/256MB, no extra software, and dropped $275 plus shipping.

Adding insult to injury it has the 350 core. Nuff said.

Save the cash and go up, don't go back.
