I have a celistica radeon 9600se overclocked to 454 gpu and stock ram speeds.

I want to know if i should softmod up to something higher, and will this do anything for frame rates? I am saving up for a better card, but i would like to get a boost out of this one untill then. Also, the Omega drivers i use give me the option to force 9700 or force 9800. What does this do?

Anyone who helps i will rep.

Thanks!

well its just a personal preference but i would recommend them over omega drivers but before you install them run driver cleaner its located in the omega drivers in your menu read the readme and follow the instuction first bnenchmark your system using aquamark 3 then chage drivers then benchmark again i prefer the 4.10 dna drivers 50k aquamark

I use the Omega because I get about 5 more fps in Halo with them.

Did the mod kill your card or could you fix it?

PS: I can OC my GPU to about 460mhz stable, but if I try anyting with the gram, it locks up.

its fine now ... just make sure you have a extra pci video card handy

just any old thing from an ancient computer will work

because when i oc'ed it and installed the 9600XT drivers I had artifcts out to WAZOO

I couldnt even see the post

so just have that Pci card

What are you overclocking it to, to make it a 9600XT??

-rep if helped

Told ya' they were awesome!

I have desided aginst any software or bios mods, because I have overclocked by about 150 mhz. I can get to 464 easy with no problem, even to about 509 with one or two artifacts. I currently have it set on 475 with no problem.
