What are some "SOLID" (hence the word "SOLID") reasons why I should get the 6950 versus last generations 5870.. And please don't say stuff like load consumption, power draw, temps and noise because I could really care lol. I max out my fan speed and its loud but it doesn't bother me because I have closed ear headphones.

Heres a benchmark of the 6950 vs. 5870 (also included is the GTX 570 and the 6970)

*NOTE* All the results in the benchmark are OCd cards.... I just want some "SOLID" reason why I should go ahead and buy the 6950... I can get a XFX 5870 1GB for $209.99 or SAPPHIRE 5870 2GB for $279.99. The XFX 6950s are $289.99 almost the same as a 2GB 5870 and they are 2GB their self.

I think that x 5870s in crossfire would be killer even though they are 1GB per card. I am going to drive 3x 24" ASUS VE248H Monitors in Eyefinity so I was concerned with the whole aspect of needing more physical memory for filtering and resolution, because I will be running a very nice resolution of 5760x1080.

Better at DX11
Double the VRAM
Excellent xfire scaling
Potential to unlock to a 6970.

get the 6950 cos:
it can only get better with drivers,
crossfire scaling is unreal,
better at tesselation,
more vram if you get the 2gb version. more vram = better at higher resolutions and will be better when games use more advanced textures,
dual bios switch,
unlock the shaders to the same amount as the 6970 if you dare.

*EDIT* The ones thing I was confused on was the benchmark I listed and since the 5870 has more processing cores 1600 verses the 1408 the 6950 has.
if its 2gb it should flash. it doesnt matter about the amount of shaders because the 69xx series is a different architecture to the 58xx series.

Here is a SOLID reason. I had an overclocked 5870 and got 32.5 FPS average in Unigine Heaven DX 11 benchmark. Bought me a 6950 2GB, unlocked and overclocked I get 49.1 FPS average.

Now that is a huge difference.
