What are some "SOLID" (hence the word "SOLID") reasons why I should get the 6950 versus last generations 5870.. And please don't say stuff like load consumption, power draw, temps and noise because I could really care lol. I max out my fan speed and its loud but it doesn't bother me because I have closed ear headphones.
Heres a benchmark of the 6950 vs. 5870 (also included is the GTX 570 and the 6970)
*NOTE* All the results in the benchmark are OCd cards.... I just want some "SOLID" reason why I should go ahead and buy the 6950... I can get a XFX 5870 1GB for $209.99 or SAPPHIRE 5870 2GB for $279.99. The XFX 6950s are $289.99 almost the same as a 2GB 5870 and they are 2GB their self.
I think that x 5870s in crossfire would be killer even though they are 1GB per card. I am going to drive 3x 24" ASUS VE248H Monitors in Eyefinity so I was concerned with the whole aspect of needing more physical memory for filtering and resolution, because I will be running a very nice resolution of 5760x1080.
