You may have seen my thread about my new Zune HD, with that I plan on buying a nice pair of ear buds. I've been looking at Altec Lansing's Backbeat Pro's as an option, I just wanted to see what you all think.

Yuin PK3/2. But IMHo the PK2 is way too airy; bass drums hits sound like pillows being hit against a wall.

if you ever plan on running i'd recommend sennheiser PMX 80's, but that's if you dont mind the behind-the-back headband

Solid choice. The Head-Direct RE0 is also another solid choice at $79 but has less bass but higher sound quality overall.

If you want the S4:

Buy it from here and apply the coupon '9offsound' if ya outside Ohio to bring it down to $70 with free ship.

The RE0 can be bought from here:

for rock, I'd go Klipsch S4.

Uh. No. I know just about nothing when it comes to audio but I do know to stay away from anything that says skullcandy. Piles of crap.

I second the RE0s as an amazing purchase, especially for $80. But for rock music, the S4s are better: more bass impact.

EDIT: First post in like 2 years... been a while

Welcome Back

Anyway, I'll be purchasing the S4s

Cnet gave it the editors choice, and I love my bass. Do they balance bass and treble well?

Let me throw out the suggestion of noise canceling ear buds (My family's main vehicle is a f350 diesel though)

for the music genres you listen too, yeah, I'd go S4.
Soundearphones = an authorised Klipsch reseller so you'll get the 2 year warranty as well.

Ok I trust the guys on Head-Fi. Each one is saying these are unreal. I'm about to click the pay now button. Any objections?
