Hello everyone, I've been stumped about this for awhile and was wondering if this board is faulty. I'm currently using BIOS version 2.4 on my Extreme4. I have been up to 2.7 but it made stability with my OC a little difficult. Anyway, the top 2 USB slots on the IO shield do not work. They send power to whatever device I plug in, but do not recognize anything. Even at BIOS v.2.7 it never fully recognized my USB devices. The board works flawlessly otherwise, anyone have any ideas?

**Solution**: I went into BIOS and disabled Smart Connect, saved changes, started up and now the USB 3.0 slots work.

Well you didn't mentioned, so I have to ask. Did you install USB drivers?
