Hi.
smile.gif

I have deleted the desktop icon and the Toolbar shortcut, only to have them return.

I would like to remove this gaming program completely.

I have tried:
  • Using the Add/Remove Programs (not listed)
  • Navigated to the Folder (can't find it)
  • Googled the question, but no definitive answer was forthcoming

Thanks for your time.

It must have a service tied to it. Stop that and you will be gold. Run> services.msc. Find the service, right click and go to properties. set the startup type to "disabled."

You should also make sure it did not put some sort of extension in FF or whatever browser you are running.

If you want to get real medieval on it, then: Run> regedit> Edit> Find> Type "zynga" and delete every entry it finds. Hit F3 to go to each next entry after deleting.

Yeah, Malwarebytes includes FileASSASSIN. Its in the 'More tools' Tab in Malwarebytes.
Give it a try Syrillian.

Also, Try CCleaner's built in deleter (As suggested earlier), and there might be some information worth deleting with Hijackthis. Try these too.

Good Luck

Go into Programs And Features, left hand bar, Turn Windows features on or off, and see if you can find it in there. Should be under Games, or you can just uncheck the entire Games section.

This sounds right. Didn't know Zynga integrated with Windows Features/Games although it makes sense.... +rep

I'm honestly not sure though, it's just an educated guess.. I have never had Zynga installed before.

So imma gonna make War on this damn Zynga thing.

I have looked in the running processes and I do not see "Zynga" there.

I have also gone into the Startup (msconfig), but I do not see it listed there by name (under the Services tab).

I have located the Folder using Malwarebytes, but it seems I need to delete each file individually? Is there a way to nuke the entire Folder all at once? (I am using the free version of Malwarebytes.

If that does not work I will... how did PhillyOverclocker put it.... ah yes, "Go medieval on it"

Has anyone else had this issue that could also provide some input?

Thanks for your time.

Is it based on the My Web Search thing? If so Trend Micro has free tools to get rid of that specifically.

I would use either lockhunter to unlock the process and youruninstaller to get the left over reg keys etc.

I also found this, so you may like to try it also.

Method one: How to manually uninstall Zynga gamebar toolbar?

1. Close the Zynga gamebar toolbar program running before removing the application. Any running application will not be uninstalled, because active processes cannot be deleted.

2. Browse the 'Start' menu. Find and select the 'Control Panel' icon.

3. Click on 'Add or Remove Programs' icon. This will open the list of programs currently installed on the computer. Scroll down the menu to look for the Zynga gamebar toolbar application on the list.

4. Clicking on the list item will open the selected program's 'add/remove' options. Click the 'remove' button on the Zynga gamebar toolbar product to uninstall. The process will start and as it performs, it will also show the progress of the uninstallation.

5. when the uninstall process is done, it will prompt the user to restart the computer. This is done so that the system registry may be deleted of the program entry.

Zynga gamebar toolbar should now be uninstalled from your system after the reboot. If in case the system uninstaller was not able to remove it, proceed the steps below to automatically uninstall Zynga gamebar toolbar from your computer.

Method Two: How to automatically uninstall Zynga gamebar toolbar?

You must use the automatic removal process only if you are unable to uninstall Zynga gamebar toolbar products using the normal uninstallation method. This process helps to thoroughly scan your computer and remove all associated entries.

1. To perform automatic Zynga gamebar toolbar removal you can download the most powerful uninstaller.

2. In the File Download dialog box, select the Save button and save the uninstaller on the Desktop

3. Next, close all Zynga gamebar toolbar programs running on your PC and double-click the.exe file to install the uninstaller on your computer.

4. Run the uninstaller and then click on "Force Uninstall" tab.

5. Locate the folder of Zynga gamebar toolbar and then click "Next" to begin the removal.

By following the above several steps, all Zynga gamebar toolbar components will be removed from the system after the computer restarts.

I had the same issue with Zynga, went through and did this... the icon keeps reappearing! It's like it's haunting me or something.
