Some games just don't support SLI?

OK, I got all excited to finally get a TRI SLI set up. I know that it's overkill, but I have always wanted it, so I finally got it. I thought "this will be great, I can play all of my games at the highest settings". Some of them are really great, all the detail you miss other wise. On the other hand, I reinstalled Halo2 and GRID. I can only play them with SLI disabled. That kind of bums me out. Why the heck wouldn't I be able to play in SLI?

Coding, all other questions will cost $.25.
Evga released an sli pack that lets you use sli on some games. I think GRID is one of them.
Halo 2 can be maxed (4xAA) by my 4850 at 1680x1050 on stock clocks, so I think a single GTX 260 should be fine.
I think overall Nvidia makes more powerful video cards (but 4870 is still up there as of today!), but this is why I am glad I am running Crossfire X on my 4870's. It works in just about any modern game (including GRID) and I did not have to install anything besides the latest drivers.

I like Nvidia better overall, but I still think Crossfirex is superior to SLI. Scales better, less problems, more performance per GPU added. I think anything more than Triple card SLI (or Crossfire) is just a waste right now. Nice setup, but that sucks it is not working in everything for you. Apparently that is a way of life for multi GPU.
Cant you create a profile, I did a crossfire-X profile for MOH
A and MOH:AA for my 3870+3850 Xfire

Don't get bummed out, most of the games that you will need SLI ON to play at high on your 28", already support SLI. Most of the games that aren't SLI coded won't even need Tri-SLI to play on high settings with 50+fps. The only game that would *really* benefit from tri-SLI at your res is Crysis.

I though that with the v1.2 patch that they added SLI support. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, while I look that up...

EDIT: I pretty sure that's right. R* added SLI support with a patch, it's just that some people are saying SLI is working well, giving them a nice FPS boost. Others say it is not working with their SLI setup. In other words R* is *still* working on it. *sighs*

That is the one reason why that im never going to go SLI since most games dont support it which really sucks. But maybe one day all the games will be supported somehow.
