My Advice: Leave Your Laptop Alone.

You really do not want to overclock your laptop, especially not when you're using a program to do it.

Heck, I don't even recommend people with desktops to oc with software.

Just don't. You'll be happier that way.

Dont let him Ruin your fun download CPUfsb then pay the 17.99 i think it is to register it. Good thing about Software overclocking all you can do is cause your poc to freeze. On my system listed below i moved up little by little with cpufsb till it will worked 24/7 with no problems at 2557mhz. However on the otherside cpufsb lock up my ispiron 2500 but dosent mean it will on yours.

Regardless of the "payoff" of even POSSIBLY being able to overclock your laptop, it's just not suggested nor is it even that terribly feasible.

Do you have any idea what your processor loads at currently temperature wise?

Now...if the laptop was a hand-me-down (ie. free), and you wanted something to do in your spare time, do what slayer said...see what it will do, but if you actually paid for it and use it, don't bother. The consequences far outweigh the benefits.
