Hi all,

Im sure this is a very common topic, but seems that each individual is different. I know theres no the RIGHT ONE answer to this question, but i would appreciate your comments.

Im building a new setup, and for some reason the 2nd setup is harder than the first one i did 3 years ago. Maybe because my current setup still running ok.

These are the parts that im considering.

- Thermaltake SHARK VA7000SWA Silver 1.0 mm All aluminum ATX Full Tower
- Western Digital Raptor WD740GD 74GB 10,000 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive
- ViewSonic VX922 Black/Silver 19" 2ms LCD Monitor - Retail
- ASUS A8N-E Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard
- ATI 100-435805 Radeon X1900XTX 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video
- Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound
- Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550 ATX12V 550W Power Supply - Retail
- ZALMAN CNPS9500 LED 92mm 2 BallBlue LED Light Cooling Fan heatsink
- CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC3200)
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Manchester 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Dual Core

My questions are more related to MB and VID card. Thinking in investment protection, should i go with Crossfire MB and x1900xt instead of XTX? and who knows, in the future may add the crossfire version of the X1900xt.

From Mobo perpective, use nvidia chipset, or KT, if crossfire is ok, what mb vendor is recommended?. All opinions are welcome,

thanks 455 for your comments.

I will check DFI.

Anyone know the difference between x1900xtx and x1900xt beside clock speed and crossfire support?

Also, the stup i post, anyone know if could be overclockable?
