Just FTR the exact same hardware running Manjaro as well as PopOS a year ago both scored 12-16% less FPS, roughly 83 FPS avg. I don't think this is basic to those distros, just the kernels they default to. My Slackware installs all have custom kernels setup for realtime and low latency. If your other distro has a "Studio" kernel (one for multimedia and DAW work) available, you might see serious gains in performance by setting up an alternate boot option for such kernels.
