Sound card for Xmas gift (Resolved)

Hey guys! I just joined, but my fiance is an avid member of this forum and I thought I would turn to it for help in picking out his Xmas gift.

About a year ago he bought an X-fi Fatality sound card, and I guess I threw away the key and now its useless... I was wondering if you guys would suggest a different/better sound card, or should I just... Buy him the same one.

Any input would be helpful!
