It seems quite logical that if Nvidia uses the same Gk104 GPU for the new GTX 660 Ti cards, the same PCB and cooling design will be used as well. But the company is doing its best to cut costs and many expected the reference design to be a little more modest on the PCB and cooling side.

Not really

If the performance are close to each other its kinda like pay a bit extra to get this card 3 months earlier

Its not like we will go in a rage over a cheaper version now is it :3

Be happy you didn't buy yours just before the price drop happened on them the first time.

It was probobly MSI's fault shipping out a bad card, it isnt AMD's fault. Nvidia GTX660tis will have the same problem evry once in a while. A 7950 will probobly be about the same as a 7950.

I don't think it will make 670 owners feel ripped off. The GTX 670 still seems like the best bang for the buck. The 670 is like 5% slower than the 680,whereas the GTX 660 Ti is like 12% slower than the GTX 670. If $100 separates the 660 ti from the 670, as is the case between the 670 and 680, then it seems the 670 offers the better value.

. After knowing how weak kepler is with its 256-bit width let alone a 192-bit one.
even If I haven't bought the GTX 670 I will not spend my money on the 660 Ti better save a few bucks and step-up to a HD7950 than this 660.
It is not the same as reference 680s vs non-reference 670s. The later can beat the firsts max oc at a lower price. but that is a very hard case for the 660 Ti and its 192-bit.

Haha, mine cost me $450 on release day. I love mine though. OC's like an absolute beast.

7950 at 330 and your mad? Even with the 660ti's price I don't see how you got ripped off at all.

I like my card. I don't feel ripped off because as someone stated earlier, I got it a few months ago which makes it worth it. My only regret is that I didn't get a 680 just for the e-peen

Being in NZ, everything here is overpriced. When I bought my 670 it was $630 NZD ($515USD) >_<
Still happy with it though.
