I'm trying to put together a new computer and thinking about OCing it. i am like most people is on a budget. i have around $500 to spend on a CPU,MOBO,RAM,CASE. i am open to suggestion on what parts to buy. I was thinking to get the following for my comp.
CPU-M xp2600+
MOBO-Abit NF7 V2
RAM?
Case?

Can anyone who has build a stable OCing computer please post a list of what parts you use.

thanks soo much.

well, it depends what size and kind of case u want...
but ram, some sweet 3200 right here, for 1 gig, which is what u wanna get if u can. or this if u only want 512, both are CRAzy overclockers

i would go with a 2500+ mobile instead of the 2600+, as for memory i would go for some OCZ EL pc3200 or corsair xms pc3200, try to get memory with cas 2 latency, for a case i would go with an Aspire x-alien, this comes with a 420 watt psu that should be decent enough to overclock a mobile processor and power the rest of your system, also this case includes 6 fans which should keep your tempuratures down relatively low.

I think 512x2 of good ram wont fit his budget... Thats more than half of it already...

He's gonna have to go with 256x2, Maybe something like this.

The 2500+ mobile is not better, it's just that they overclock about the same and the 2500+ is a little bit cheaper.

256x2 is better than a stick of 512 because it will run in dual channel configuration which will boost your memory bandwith a bit.
