I know very little in this area so this question might sound dumb. I own a D-Link DWA-556 Xtreme N PCIe dekstop wireless adapter. My download speed is about 5Mbps. I took a look in Speccy and the adapter speed can't top 650Kbps. In the networking tab inside Windows task manager the link speed for said adapter is 54Mbps.
What's going on? I don't experience slow internet speed though. There is almost no buffering when streaming 1080p videos. But shouldn't Speccy be reporting 5000Kbps?
Edit: In task manager it's about 6-10% of network utilization. So I am assuming that is out of the stated 54Mbps. So I am guessing Speccy is not not reporting correctly?
