For the past week I have been tying to get speedstep to work right lol. I have it enabled and everything else enabled (No idea what the difference between the c's mean lol)

No matter what I do im running @ 4.5 ghz even with nothing open (Dont really need to be running at that reading OC.net lol)

Any Ideas?

Set Windows power mode to balanced...

As a side question, did you follow Sean's SSD guide?

Indeed I did lol. I always use his guide when I install new mobo. Also I tried balance didnt work either.

I've seen this question asked like 4 times since February, and every time it was from an SSD user, and Windows power mode was the issue lol.

Do you have EIST enabled?

EIST + balanced is all you need for downclock to work.

Found the problem lol.....one of my unseen programs opened at start up and didnt even notice it lol. Eneded processes dropped right to 1.6 ghz
