SSD Benchmark Problem!

Initial run of AS SSD Benchmark shows the following results on my OCZ Core Series V2 60GB SSD:



Second run of the Benchmark produces the following results:




As you can see, the results worsen considerably. I am aware that the SSD does, unfortunately house the JMicron controller. What are the reasons for the random speeds? Is there any way I can fix it?

LOL this is slower than my 640gb WD green on a clean OS install

try a diff sata port. make sure NOTHING is running when u do a hdd bench, sometimes stuff spikes at random

I've had a GSkill Titan with a JMicron controller and it's just a fact of life that they don't respond as well as the newer stuff.

You can minimize degradation by using all the tricks at your disposal.

Use the SSD Tweaker and partition alignment which is especially important with XP.

If I were you, I'd do a reinstall adding the AHCI drivers and aligning the partitions at the same time.
