If someone can read Chinese or Japanese, would you mind summarizing?

894.8TB written to a 40GB X25-V and it is still operational with some sector remapping. This is on 5 34nm 8GB NAND chips.

Intel rates their SSDs for 20GB write daily. However, most people write less than 8GB a day. This 40GB SSD is at 915865.6 GB written.

Like I keep saying, don't worry about write endurance too much.

MTBF is typically 1,000,000 hours on a SSD which is ~ 114 years, people worry a little too much about their ssd's - yes minimize writes, but it will typically out last most of us and our tortoise that we have as pets

January 14, 2011 Status: Comprehensive written 782.9TB, approximately equal to 21,569 times, which were written to 21TB.
Thats a lot of write for a 40gb. SSD.

whoa, and i was a little scared at my 80GB G2 with 8.86TB written.. Lol

i actually worry more about the controller than nand writes. (That doesnt leave out you can do a little tweaking in your os and programs to make it more write friendly)

MTBF is NOT life expectency/service life!

MTBF is really not useful for consumers. It is useful for datacenters running hundreds/thousands of drives.

Have to say, this is quite interesting and makes all those little "tweaks" to decrease writes to the SSD seem a bit silly.
