Hey guys, this is my first post here!

Computer in question
HP Pavilion dv7-6c23cl

I just Cloned my old drive to a newish Samsung EVO 850. When the Samsung Magician pointed out that AHCI was not Active I did a little researching. It seems that AHCI is active by default because of something to do with AMD, and or, the way RAID is set up on this laptop, but not sure? I looked and looked to find some way to get the laptop to boot faster, because it is taking 45sec to boot. While this is only a SATA-II Capable device I think it should boot faster, but again, I don't know. One other laptop I have seems to boot faster than this one, but that is a little newer and windows 8.1 on slightly better hardware.

I can live with it this way, but a little disappointed to see my nice Samsung not be as fast as it could be.

Thanks
