hello all i have a (Kingston SSDNow V Series SNV425-S2/64GB) that i want to use for a boot drive just to run windows 7 pro (this is a fresh install, just built my system). i help on what i need to do in the bios, to make this function correctly? i read something with setting up AHCI & TRIM. i need to educated on this matter before i go any further.

Also, how is that drive in relation to speed & performance?

Just enable AHCI in the BIOS, then proceed with installing Windows 7.

After that, TRIM will be working automatically.

As for the drive itself, in terms of speed/performance for a boot drive (compared to a standard hard disk), I think you will be pleased.
