I think I had a cmos clear and now my ssd is not recognized(worked perfectly fine before) by bios and wont boot windows unless I use boot menu and manually select my ssd.
Since ssd is not showing up on bios, I cant put ssd as top priority drive to boot on...

any clue on how to fix this?

Another hdd is in the system but no OS is installed on it.

OS: windows 7
mobo: msi p67a-gd65(b3)
ssd: samsung 830

See if this works...

Go into your bios, go to disk priority (it is usually a sub menu, separate from the main boot order menu... it is specific to your hdds only), and set your SSD to the top priority. It should then be selectable as your first boot device.

edit; Just looked at your board's digital manual, and on page 3-21, it shows you have "Hard Drive BBS priorities". See if that is where your HDD boot order is.

Also, do you have a USB flash drive installed? Sometimes it can override the hdd boot order when it is assigned as the first boot priority for hdds.

No problem. I only knew what you were talking about because I've had it happen to me, and have seen it happen to friends a lot!
