I have never done anything of the sort. You might want to check your benchmark results to compare with and without SSE/SSE2 enabled to see what your cost/benefit is. I have a feeling the increase in clock speed would cost you more in performance then what you gain. Benchmarking is the only way to determine this though. I am interested to see what your results will be.
