having issues with a computer got a BSOD that said.

there is a hardware instability somewhere. i googled the BSOD error and got it could be overheating, memory issue, video card issue, HDD issue, Driver issue.

it is a new video card.

i cant have this server not running so i was wanting help finding software to run while the server is running to determine what the issue is. all help is appreciated. and i can get more info if needed.

this is the server
intel Q9450 (no O.C.)
4 gigs ram
windows xp (32 bit)
80gb os drive
4x 1tb storage drives
asus mobo (cant remember what model)
8600 gt

Have you run Memtest86 yet?

If you don't have any GPU or CPU overclocks, its most likely a Memory issue.

no not yet. im trying to avoid having the server down for that long or at all. but i will probably have to give that a try.

How is your PSU - can it handle those 4 1TB drives?

Just curious, but why do you have an 8600GT in a server...

yes the psu should be fine but i might look into that.

the server is a video surveillance server so it needs a semi beefy video card.
