the standard memory says ddr2 1333. does that mean that I have to get 1333 or can i still get 800 for it?

It means it will support up to DDR2 1333 which is actually overclocked DDR2 800 (1066, 1100, and 1333 are not recognized as standard). Feel free to use any of those including 533, 667, and 800.
