Anyone semi-decent at SCII want to play a few matches with me, give me a few pointers? This will be my first time really trying to play SC, I just played one game against a friend of mine, but he isn't that great either and was distracted, so I had a huge advantage despite being a noob (he quit after I smashed up his proxy base, eight marines vs. three zealots). Everything I know about SCII comes from campaign and watching a dozen Day[9] videos and a couple from HDStarcraft.
Just want to play one or two matches and have someone go over the replays with me, tell me where I screwed up, etc. Anyone game? PM me if so.
I wouldn't mind just playing with someone who isn't about to rush me. I find games far more enjoyable when people are about the same skill and don't try to get a cheap win.

Interested? I don't know any cheap tricks. I'm not going to rush you as soon as I have four marines, or go the opposite and just turtle up until I have battlecruisers or anything. I attack when I'm ready, which may or may not be when you're ready.

I would recommend that you visit the SC2 thread in this section and ask for help there as well as posting your replay as well. We'll be able to take a look and tell you what parts to improve, etc....
I'm probably the only actual dedicated Terran player on this board. Post some replays in the SCII thread and I'll watch / give you pointers. I'm 1350 Diamond to give you an idea of where I'm at
I just played an hour and a half long game with BenRK, TvT on Agria. I can't figure out how to post replays and it's late, so here's a summary.
I beat him because he turtled. He walled himself in early on. He made one sneak attack with reapers, but instead of trying to wreck my economy he just tried to take out my barracks, and failed. I then built three vikings and wrecked his economy, killing six of his dozen SCVs (I believe I had thirty at that point). I feinted and scouted and expanded and built an army of marines, marauders, medivacs, and siege tanks. He built two Thors and some marines, then tried to knock on my front door, and got his infantry killed by banshees and his Thors killed by a siege tank and my marauders. While he was doing that I took my army and knocked his door down. Then flattened his base.
Then I spent the next hour trying to break through his shell on that island in the upper right. A few failed drop attacks, some harrassment with nukes and crying wolf (marines and ghosts both look the same to a sensor tower). Finally took two nukes and battlecruisers to break through, but break through I did.
I hope that gives an idea of my overall strategy. I know for a fact that my micro is crap, that my economy management is spotty at best, that I had no real build in mind, and that if I'd been playing against someone who didn't turtle I'd be dead in ten minutes.
Let me know how to upload replays and you can do fine critiquing.

That's true. I noticed that I was further up the tech tree then you, I just can't get units built fast enough.
I mean, yeah, build a second base, but when I do that online, I tend to mess something up and both the new base and my first one get destroyed from a rush. So I'm either focusing of defense or my economy, but in either case I'm screwed.
Hence why I play custom maps that don't allow for rushing.
REGARDLESS!! I am actually glad you saved the replay. Forgot to save it my self.
I did scout quite a bit, especially later on. I scouted as soon as possible with an SCV, got a good look at his base, defenses, etc, occasionally with marines, etc. Later on I used the orbital command scan very frequently. I can understand scouting more though; knowing where the enemy is is important. But really, once I figured out he was turtling and know the limits of his sensor tower, and I had both watchtowers, I pretty much knew where he was. Only real surprise was that base in the northeast.
I'm actually surprised I lasted as long as I did. Really, the last hour is interesting to me at least. I didn't know I could build such a compressed base and have it still functional and defensible.
