I've done TONS of research, mainly via this site, regarding my first ever build. I have a couple builds picked out, can't decide if it's worth the investment to go with the balls out, high dollar setup.

Here's the less expensive build:

Now... here are the goals:

- 5760x1080 gaming, maxed settings, on whatever I want
- Video editing (I do lots and lots of video editing, color correction, compositing, etc... this isn't the primary function of this rig, but I want it to have the capabilities)
- Small(ish) (hence the mATX)
- Capability to go full water cooled in the future (hence the Arc Mini)

Really though, is the hexacore, dual 690 setup really worth the massive extra investment? I know it's more "future proof," but I'm just not sure that the games that can really take advantage of a system like that are going to come about for a while.

Also, dual 7970GHz or dual GTX680? I've heard that, for high res, multi-screen gaming, that 7970s are the way to go... but I'm interested in all input here.

Thanks in advance for any help!
