Few games I want to download, older ones that are not on steam. What are the other legal options.

A list of the games would probably help.

Why? Is there no other decent platform to try at all?

Because their will be no "one-stop shop" most likely, different sources are going to be needed. So you might as well post which games you need so that people can help track them all down.

Here is one to look at that may have a couple you need....totally DRM free as well http://www.gog.com/en/frontpage/

Ok thanks guys. If anyone sees final fantasy 7or8 for download that would be good, or the old resi evil games.
Found another side, looks bare enough, but prices seem ok(in comparison to steam at least)

D2D isn't fail, in my opinion. It's part of IGN, so that pretty much guarantees it won't go under. You get unlimited downloads, and they have good prices. Got WiC Gold for $5.

Still, I like Steam the most.

Best place for older games would be Amazon, eBay, Impulse, or D2D.
