I hope this helps make it easier to install and keep it updated. It's what this mod needed tbh.

Yeah I'll actually try it again if it will download and install it auto for me.

I've been gaming for quite awhile and usually have no problems with mods. This Dayz thing though was such a pain in the butt for me.

played the game for a short while and I cant anymore. How do I get another CDkey if my key is banned? I can't seem to buy the game again under same account.
you can buy a direct cd key and then mod the registry to overwrite the steam key, and then make it read-only. Google how to do it.

And your cd key is banned because either you were hacking with it, or got your cd key stolen from attempting to download a hack that just stole your cd key

This is great, hopefully he overcomes all the damage that rip-off The War Z did to Day Z's reputation.

yeah I am not sure, I played it for a little bit. My friend gave me some program to try out when I never really played it after that. I never found out what it did, cant tell you what it was since I have long since reformatted my drives.

I'll have to try that. Which Key does DayZ use? both? I think the game is 24ish right now.

Yep. At this point anyone who hasn't played it yet is just going to wait for the SA so they don't buy a game that's obsolete in a few months. Pretty pointless to add the mod to steam now.

So your "friend" gave you "a program", on top of the existing game, that you didn't know what it did and then preceded to install it anyways?

And now your banned from the game? You must be really trusting of your friends to install random programs.

I feel like it is more likely you installed a program to hack the game and you got banned. Now you want to know how to get around your CD key from being banned.

My thoughts are that this was being negotiated alongside the ArmA II exclusivity as they both materialized at roughly the same time.. I'm guessing a combination of mainstream convenience and a desire for statistics were the determining factor here. Conveniently a nice patch was just released today, 1.7.6 brought some interesting changes & polish. Difficulty got dialed down a bit IMO but welcome changes by the majority of the DayZ community from what I'm reading.

OCNDayZ servers were updated early today and have already applied a few custom changes
