Hey guys,

I noticed today (steam smashed it in my face) that I can get Dayz via Steam.

I'm wondering if there is any chance that due to this being through Steam now is the hacking likely to have been eradicated?

Not much more painful in that game than spending 5 hours playing to be killed by some hacker scumbag.

The only thing it does, is making the mod install-able through steam. It will have no effect on hacking.

It would, if the only way to get the mod was through Steam. Cheating in online games being against their EULA they would quickly get reported and lose their accounts. But the mod will always be available by other means and those are the means that the cheaters will acquire it by.
