OK first off what is it with the surface, I mean after 30 minutes my hands are already sweating and slipping. Also the sensor... it feels completely wrong to how a mouse should track - each given movement isn't reflected in the cursor movement.

Just about everything about this mouse is bad... if anyone can tell me one reason to get this mouse over a £5 cheap dell mouse because the sensor in this mouse is the worst I have ever seen.

And what is it with the SteelSeries marketing rubbish? 'Pro gamer endorsed' and 'Developed in line with the worlds top gamers' I mean give me a break... do they pay pro gamers to say this mouse is great when in reality they would rather play with a £5 dell mouse cos the sensor and feel are among the worst ever in the whole world.

The best use I will ever get of this thing is when I see it smashed to pieces with a hammer. Its good I only bought it a day ago - so its going straight back to the store.

I had one. The sensor felt very laggy, not as smooth as the intellimice. The scroll-wheel was very loose, so everytime I swiped fast I heard the wheel going back and forth. The pollingrate was very unstable as well. I don't understand how anyone could perfer it over the WMO.

There are mice which are great quality but may not be suitable for some people because of their shape (e.g Logitech G400) but its actually a quality product and has a great sensor and build quality.

I don't think I have ever used a mouse that was so bad in EVERY way imaginable, tracking, feeling, build quality... Kinzu fails horribly on every count.

Even a cheap dell mouse is better than Kinzu.

SteelSeries mice in general are total garbage and are just marketed trailer trash... probably they pay pro gamers to 'endorse' their products.

I think in order of quality, performance in general Microsoft = Logitech > Razer >>>>>>>>>> SteelSeries.

NEVER EVER buy mice from SteelSeries its the worst mistake you will ever make. The pads and headsets are quite nice though (QcK +, Siberia comes to mind). But with mice SteelSeries are a definite NONO.

I disagree sir. The mice are actually quite good, like the sensei, and the kinzu v2 is imo good value for money if used only @ 400 and 800 CPI, NOT 1600 and 3200.

Almost all gamer headsets are a joke! (all the razer and steelseries headsets are included in the joke definition)

Are you serious? Kinzu V2? Do you know how HORRIBLE the sensor is... its like so bad - its probably worse than those found in cheap £5 dell and HP mice that come bundled with PCs. Its horrible and jittery as well as the fact that it skips like HELL. Basic Optical v2.0 and especially WMO are both WAY WAY better than Kinzu V2.

Anyone who says that Kinzu V2 is anywhere close to decent must have never used another mouse before.

I have a sensei and its pretty good, but no match for my deathadders. Steelseries' higher end mice are pretty good, but i would avoid their 30ish dollar stuff because at that price range the razer abyssus or cm spawn kill them

Just out of curiosity, what surface or mouse pad are you using with the Steelseries Kinzu V2?

SteelSeries QcK.

I much prefer my Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse v2.0 than Kinzu. MBO has a fairly bad sensor but the one in the Kinzu is way worse.

Avoid Kinzu and SteelSeries mice in general.

Currently I'm using a Kinzu V2 Pro as I can't find anything that's a comfortable shape coming from a WMO (which I can't use due to 400dpi and no hz overclocking in windows 8).

I don't find it that bad, was weird at first but it's generally fine. 800 DPI is just about quick enough (would like 1000 I guess) where as 400 is really slow and sluggish compared the wmo. Upping sens in games counters that though. Using a QcK also.

Just have to wait for the Logitech G100s to be released... I have no doubt it will be 10x better than the Kinzu.

SteelSeries mice have the worst bugged, awful sensors ever... and on the Kinzu V2 very low max tracking speed (60 IPS?) also the surface is glossy and feels slippy making it impossible to have a firm grip on the mouse.

I think good ambidextrous mice with good sensors are: Abyssus, WMO and Logitech G1 = G100 = G100s.

But the Kinzu? Lets admit its a really bad mouse and no matter how much you want to make it seem good its in fact really bad and I am sure most people would agree.

The only steelseries mouse i had was Xai and i had similar impressions. Not going to buy mice from SS unless i decide to build a kinzuadder

Seems maybe the OP feels burned on the Kinzu purchase lol. I use a ZA13 but used a Kinzu v2 for a long time at the LEM level. Sensor aint great, but it works just fine and the mouse is 20 bucks...

A G100s is 20$ as well. And it's comparable to 50-60$ mice...
