Hi guys
Relatively new to MacBooks and have a quick question. I have been offered a Macbook pro and am keen to buy it but have concerns that it may be stolen. Its about 2 months old and the guy that is selling it to me says he owned it since new but its not registered under his apple id (The person on the phone when I called apple said the account is from Germany and I live in NZ). His iCloud account is logged in and he has been good with most other things but its bugging me that its not registered under his account. If I was to purchase it and it was stolen is there anything the owner can do if the only link they have back to it is it being registered under their apple id?
