Yep, make sure you turn on find my mac. That way they/you can track it & disable it if needs be.

Also turn on FileVault so the drive is encrypted, at least that way your data is safe.

I think you need to read what he wrote. You're way off on what he's asking.

I was referring to the original owner having find my mac turned on.

They were both turned off I checked. Literally the only thing that links it back is it not being registered under his name. I have bought macs before like that my current Macbook Air was second hand and not registered under my name or the person I bought it off but that was older but because this one is so new and parts of the buyers story doesn't add up I am a bit suspicious. I don't really want to buy it if its stolen because I don't want to support that kind of thing so I'm actually going to talk to apple today to see if they can help determine if its stolen or is legit
