This release (0.4.136) is the first one which is available as 32-bit and 64-bit build, contains all official updates from the base distribution and additionally updates the following packages to current versions: stress, nbench, nepim, netperf, lm_sensors, memtest86+ and busybox.
This linux distro is a neat little tool for us overclockers as it comes with a ton of stress tests and benches. More about this distro at the SOURCE.

Nothing, really. Microsoft is never going to release a "Windows for Overclockers." Their loss.

OCNix has some competition. Better get moving boys!
I remember looking a while ago for a linux distro that boots off CD with stress tests, this is definitely worth using for system builders.

Yes it is. I'm just downloading it to check it out in vmware.
There's also a review here.

EXACTLY what I was thinking!! Which distro is Stresslinux based on?

Pretty cool. I usually use UBC, but it lacks CPU stress testing software. Now I can finally test my overclocks without risking screwing up any of my operating systems (do to instability).

EDIT:

Argh, but their bandwith is super slow! Oh well, DLing now, will report later.
Is there a torrent?
In theory a stripped down live distro packed with stress testing tools ought to be faster at revealing instabilities. This is going by the same principle that running other processes during a windows prime95/linx/etc run will allow it to continue without errors for longer.

Come again? The target market is so ridiculously small it's not even worth the effort.

Yeah, I dont think Microsoft really cares about releasing a stress testing OS when most overclockers can get those programs within minutes installed on their machine either from their external storage, server, or downloading it. Besides, most people care about benchmarks for Windows based fps and not really the Linux side, it's just the truth.
