I am in the market for a new monitor and I and stuck between these two. They are pretty much the same except monitor 2 has a 100,000:1 contrast ratio and a 2ms response compared to monitor 1 with 50,000:1 and a 5ms response. Would it be worth an extra 40 bucks to go for monitor 2?

I would go with the first just because there isn't much difference and the first is still good.
