i cant tell does the fan(stock) on my socket 754 suck or blow air up??? really quick for a case mod i need to know

Stock heatsinks normally blow down.<br />

The side you would put a grill on is the side thats sucking in air<img src="/images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" />

ok i was thining of putting a fan on the side of my case if the cpu fan blew up so i could help along the flow with a plastic tube

It's better to have a fan blowing in from the side of the case to the HSF, that way you get cool air from outside the case.<br />
<br />
If you set it up so it was blowing air out, you would be pulling warm air from inside the case through the HSF.<br />

Uusually stock fans blow down. So have an intake fan going right onto the hsf from the side. Thats what I did, and it dropped my temps almost 10c from before i had the fan
