I have about $200 that i want to spend on something!!! I'm not sure what exactly i want to spend it on, i didn't want a big upgrade to my system. Maybe materials for a mod, parts for water cooling, and maybe ever a sub or something. Anyone have any thoughts on what i should get? : )

Hmm, if parts the only thing I could possibly see is a second 9800?

Mod type stuff...do you have a dremel? You could add cable management to the management challenged A900 you have. While you were at that some sandpaper and spray paint for the fugly interior they come with as well.
Yes I'm allowed to knock on them, I had an A900 for a year, wasn't too thrilled with it as you can tell haha.

Maybe a flashy cooler for your gpu. I don't know much about water cooling, but I don't think I'd personally start investing in parts till I was able to buy the whole set up, granted you're getting pretty close to doing that with $200.

As a whole though you have a very solid rig.

save your money mate, if you cant think of anything to buy, then you dont need anything lol.
put it away and maybe save up for a good full WC'ing set up

Not sure if you'd like my recommendation, but I'd go for a Gigabyte EP45 UD3P.

Hmmm a 2nd 9800, i'm not really looking into investing into more parts atm. But i was thinking about painting the inside black. I did pretty good cable management with the holes they provided. Water cooling has always looked interesting to me for some reason...

Really not much of an upgrade from his P35, perhaps an SLI board?

Ya i might end up doing that...

But i don't really want to upgrade any parts atm so no Gigabyte EP45 UD3P.

Maybe buy yourself a Savings Account.

Since you have no specific goal, then you may very well regret spending the money on something that you are not sure you want.

Imho, it would be nice to have a "next build or upgrade fund" for when something that you really want does come along.

Mmm i really just want to get something. My next build will most likely be a graduation present that i won't have to pay for...so no need to save.

and no part upgrades, so no SLI board : (

Seems everyone wants me to safe or upgrade my video card/mobo

Sorry Zhev, I didn't realize your board was a P35. (In the way of throwing out a second 9800)

And I don't want you to get parts, I'm just trying to bounce things off of you

I say you just make for painting the interior of your case. It's going to be a time consuming project, which is good, and it'll be a minimal cost project compared to some other endeavors as well!

Save for a good WC setup. Thats what I have been doing.

Thanks for the suggestion about it tho. I never really thought about getting another video card.. maybe for the next build

And i might head over to the water cooling section to see how much it would cost

I understand. I think that many here understand. We are digital-junkies looking for the next fix.

That aside, have you wanted to do any modding on the case? If not, then how long until you graduate? Will your current build see you through until then?

When you are using your system, what aspects of it cause you aggravation?

Sorry, not trying to beat a dead horse here, but if you really want to spend, then do so as wisely as you can.

Yeah well, that is if I had to spend the money.

I wish I had some spare cash myself

This build is going to have to last about 2 years... ATM none of it is causing aggravation. So as of now i probably won't spend it on anything other than paint...

Thanks for all the suggestions, but i must go to class now : ) thxs
