Recettear is a fun jRPG.

Grab the Orange Box maybe? I have 400 hours logged onto TF2 and it's still tons of fun for me. HL2 + episodes are a great single player FPS, and Portal is a lot of fun as well.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 is the best RPG ever <3 + FF 10.

I suggest Mass Effects 1 and 2 for singleplaying.

For multiplaying I suggest Bad Company 2, Medal of Honor (open beta has been nice so the whole game that comes out soon too). StarCraft II and Civilization V are awesome from strategy games.

Edit: And yes definitely a big plus for TF2. Damn awesome game.

have you tried any of the stalker games ? if you havn't I'd highly recommend them.

Other than that, I can only really recommend fps games, which mite be a bit mindless for you. But if you fancy a no harm blast, try the latest Wolfenstein, a few people think its not worth playing, but I really enjoyed it.
What about Portal ? great atmosphere and the puzzles as satisfying to complete.

The last remnant, I've been playing it for 24+ hours according to steam and I'm only half way through. Story is pretty good.

Mass Effect 1&2, Great story line, especially if you play through in order and save your character and import him/her to ME2.

-Unofficial Oblivion patch
-Qarl's Texture Pack 3
-DarkUI
-Enhanced Water HD
-Enhanced Weather
-Immersive interiors
-RAEVWD (Really Almost Everything Visible When Distant)
-Desuchan's dolls (adds a new anime-like female race to the game)
-Dungeon drones (replaces dungeon music)
-Womans Move - Animation Replacer

And choose yourself some armor&weapon mods, apply them to your game. There are truckload of new stuff created by fans. You'd blown away if u see how great and realistic they look.

You'll thank me later.

you haven't played oblivion until you have over 8GB of mods

unfortunately that's too many for the mod loader to handle but meh
