Looking for configuration software to setup profiles for a wireless xbox 360 controller I recently picked up.

I tried Xpadder and it just wouldn't work. Also tried the pinnacle trial version (not paying till I know it works, mistake I made with Xpadder) and it tosses an error at me when I restart the computer after the install.

Don't get Pinnacle it's basically a bloated Xpadder.

Xpadder will work I use it all the time but on a wired 360 pad, does the controller show up in device manager?

You need the USB wireless receiver case you didn't know lol Xpadder should work fine... if you're using Windows 7 you need v5.6 or v5.7 of Xpadder

right click the xpadder.exe, go to properties and change to "Vista Compatibility"
I use it all the time for BC2 and won't work till you do this in Win 7.
At least for me it wouldn't

I think only 5.6 and above work on 7, you shouldn't need compatability mode.

5.3 is the free one, you'll have to buy any newer versions since they started charging for it.

What game do you want it for anyway? I use it to fly jets in BF2 works very good
